Canal du Midi #3
A plate is fixed on each locker house to indicate the distance between the previous and next lock.
It is very useful when you bike along the canal.
In addition, you could rent a boat for an unforgettable travel on the "Canal du Midi".

On the right side of the locker house, a small and simple chapel allowed (or still allow - I've to ask to the locker) travelers to meditate when they stopped.

Bell Tower of Baziege
This church was rebuilt in the 14th century after a blaze due to the Black Prince - Oh what a terrible name !
It is fully automated and able to play around 1000 melodies.
The picture is really not easy to shoot because the church is located on a small place with lot of houses around.

"Entre Deux Mers" Highway
This is the East part of the highway called "Entre Deux Mers".
It links Bordeaux to Narbonne from Atlanic Ocean to Mediterranean Sea, so that why it's called "Entre Deux Mers" or "Between Two Seas".
Mostly used during holidays.
It passes nearby Baziege, sometimes we can hear it as background noise when we're in the garden and there is a specific wind, but it's another story.

Chapelle Sainte Colombe
The Sainte Eutrope Chapel known in Baziege as Sainte Colombe is located in a charming glen outside the village.
It is a small building in bricks which is typical of our area.
Pilgrims can stop here on the way to Saint Jacques de Compostelle.
On April 12 1814, there were a battle here during the retreat of the army of Napoleon.
