Another gate without a fence

Along the canal I noticed this gate very similar to this previous post.

Highway and canal

At this place, the highway and the canal are so close that we can have it in the same picture.
It's a little bit noisy !
This valley is a really old communication way, there are a main road, an highway, a canal and the rail.

Camouflage

This is not a military camouflage but the bark of a plane tree.
Plane tree is very familiar all along the Canal du Midi.

Weird graffiti for 2008

Did you remember the "Apple" graffiti in October ?
Just beside, a new weird graffiti has appeared.

Is it a premonition of what will happen in 2008 ?
I don't believe, I am kinda optimistic : green wins against red.

Houseboat, mannequin and weathercock

Moored along the Canal du Midi at Gardouch, a nice inhabited houseboat with a silver mannequin inside and a "fishy" weathercock (the photo with the fish is totally blur !!).
This mannequin makes me think to this post of The Hague Daily Photo.

Several bridges over the canal were built with the same masonry used for the lock.
