On the left of the door, a piece of Roman fortification of Toulouse.

The panel on the wall just left of the door says : "Vestige of Roman fortification of Toulouse. Saint Dominique, father of the Order of Preachers lived here in 1215 with his first companions."
The house on the left is called "Maison Pierre Seilhan". It's the birthplace of the Dominican Order.

Nice photo. Is there writing in stone above the door? I tried to enlarge the photo but I couldn't see what it said.
